Workflow Baseline

Know what to fix before you build.

We look closely at one repetitive job in your business: how often it happens, where it slows down, which systems it touches, and how much time or rework it creates.

You leave with a clear plan, a way to measure the improvement, and a fixed scope for building the solution.

  • One workflow, one primary KPI, and one evidence method agreed before anyone promises a result.
  • $2,995 AUD ex GST per workflow. If that workflow proceeds to Launch, scoping is included in the $14,995 total.
  • You keep the Baseline Pack whether or not you launch with Svolta.

What Workflow Baseline answers

A useful automation assessment has to answer four questions: what is the workflow costing now, which number should change, what can safely move into software, and what the first release will cost. If the evidence cannot answer those questions yet, the Workflow Baseline engagement says so.

What counts as evidence

System timestamps and status history come first. Where those records do not exist, we use a structured time study and sample audit. Reported estimates stay labelled as reported; they do not quietly become measured facts.

The Baseline Pack records the window, sample size, method, assumptions, and owner alongside the number. That record becomes the comparison point after Launch.

The handoff to Launch

Workflow Baseline does not commit you to a build. You can take the pack to Svolta, your internal team, or another partner. If the same workflow proceeds to a Svolta Launch, the total Launch price is $14,995 AUD ex GST and already includes the scoping expense; Workflow Baseline is not charged on top.

How Workflow Baseline works

One workflow. One KPI. One decision-ready scope.

Workflow Baseline is a small paid engagement with a clear stop condition: enough evidence to launch responsibly, or a clear reason not to.

Scope before build

  1. Svolta

    Name the bottleneck

We define the start, finish, normal path, exceptions, systems, and owner for one workflow.

    You

Nominate the process owner and the workflow

  2. Svolta

    Measure the current state

We use system timestamps where possible and a structured sample where they are not. Assumptions stay visible.

    You

Provide access, sample records, and the people doing the work

  3. Svolta

    Set the target

We agree the primary KPI, measurement method, and a conservative minimum before a guarantee is discussed.

    You

Review and sign the baseline definition

  4. Svolta

    Scope the Launch

You receive the production thin-slice scope, fixed per-workflow price, dependencies, acceptance boundary, and recommended Workflow Run boundary.

    You

Choose whether to launch with Svolta or use the scope elsewhere

$2,995 AUD ex GST per workflow. If the same workflow proceeds to Launch, the $14,995 Launch total includes this scoping expense.

Find the bottleneck FAQ

The questions people ask before they book.

Answered plainly. If yours isn't here, the free consultation is the fastest way to a real answer.

It is a paid measurement engagement for one bottleneck. We define the workflow boundary, KPI, current performance, exception types, problem cost, systems, and access needs, then hand you a fixed Launch scope. You keep the pack either way. If the same workflow proceeds to Launch with Svolta, the Launch price already includes that scoping work.

Workflow Baseline includes the process boundary, normal and exception paths, primary KPI, measurement window and method, current-state evidence, problem-cost assumptions, system and access needs, human approvals, and a fixed Launch scope. It is a decision-ready pack, not a maturity scorecard.

Workflow Baseline measures the current KPI and sets a conservative minimum before Launch. We do not apply another client's percentage to your operation. The production workflow handles the repeat path; your team keeps exceptions, approvals, and judgment calls.

Workflow Baseline is $2,995 AUD ex GST per workflow. Workflow Launch is $14,995 AUD ex GST per workflow and includes all scoping expenses, so Workflow Baseline is not charged on top. Workflow Run is $995 AUD ex GST per month per workflow and is invoiced monthly in advance. The signed proposal is the authority for payment timing.

If you have a senior technical team with real delivery and production-support capacity, build it. You have the domain knowledge and records; Svolta brings workflow measurement, integrations, exception design, quality checks, and production operation. Workflow Baseline is useful either way because it gives either team the same boundary to build against.

Unusual integration or security constraints, a non-standard deployment pattern, or more than one workflow launched in parallel can make an engagement custom. Workflow Baseline makes those constraints explicit before Launch is priced. New workflows, features, or integrations after acceptance are separately scoped rather than absorbed into Maintenance.

Book the free 30-minute fit call first. Bring one workflow, its weekly volume, the systems it touches, and the person accountable for the result. We tell you whether it is measurable and whether Workflow Baseline is worth running. If the fit is wrong, we say so.

Every Launch is accepted against the KPI, measurement method, quality checks, access, data, and decision obligations agreed from Workflow Baseline. Any Capacity Guarantee is conditional on those signed terms; the proposal, not a general website claim, is the authority. You keep the Baseline Pack whether or not you proceed to Launch.

Yes. Workflow Baseline is a standalone $2,995 AUD ex GST engagement per workflow and the Baseline Pack is yours to keep. You can use it with your own team, another vendor, or no one. If the same workflow proceeds with Svolta, the $14,995 AUD Launch total includes all scoping expenses.

Workflow Baseline is usually 1 to 2 weeks. Launch timing depends on the integrations, data, exception path, and acceptance scope defined in that Baseline Pack. The target is the first measured improvement 14 to 30 days after the production thin slice goes live, not a blanket promise that every complete Launch ships in 14 days.

Workflow Baseline exists to define one workflow, its evidence method, integrations, exceptions, and acceptance boundary before a build commitment. Workflow Launch is then offered at a fixed price against that scope, so your team can evaluate a named deliverable and number instead of an open-ended day rate.

Workflow Baseline and Launch are fixed-scope engagements, not seat licences. Workflow Run is a monthly support engagement for the accepted production boundary; notice, included usage, and support terms are written into the agreement. New features and material changes are separately scoped. You own the pack and accepted build deliverables under the signed terms; Run is ongoing production value, not a data or code lock-in.

The Consultation is a 30-minute fit check around one workflow. Workflow Baseline is the paid evidence engagement: we document the current state, agree the KPI and measurement method, map systems and exceptions, and return a fixed Launch scope. The Baseline Pack is a deliverable you keep; the Consultation is not a substitute for that fieldwork.
